Here’s a little widget that we, the folks at Tornadostream (Dan Smith Adobe
Community Expert for Flash and Jesse Harding Adobe Community Expert for
Photoshop), threw together called b-Kule (beta). b-Kule uses the Adobe Kuler API and seaches the Kuler swatch library.
There are ways to use b-Kule:
1. just use it like so: http://www.tornadostream.com/rss/bkule.cfm
2. use it as a blog decoration on your site like so:
http://www.tornadostream.com/rss/bkule.cfm?q=leaves
(the search query will pull in the first 20 results…so you could display
your own stuff with a ?q=yourUserName)
Check it out and let use know what you think. We have more fun Kuler things
in the works!

So you’ve probably heard the news that Andre Kirilenko wants out of Utah and he hates Sloan. Andre, I’ve been saying this for years…Sloan needs to leave. He’s the reason why we have not won a championship. All the Jazz fans are saying, “but he got us to the finals 2 years in a row…” and so on. I say no to that. It was Stockton and Malone that got us there. Sloan was the reason we didn’t win…him and Jordan.
I will say that Sloan knows Xs and Os better than almost anyone that had ever coached the game and is one of the hardest and toughness SOBs out there…if in a fight I would bet on Sloan vs. anyone just because of sheer intimidation, the other guy would be crying before the bout even began…but this strength of Sloans is also his weakness. Stubbornness. Too stubborn to call a time-out in the finals against the bulls. Too subborn to doulbe team Jordan in the finals when his airness sank “the shoot” over Bryon Russell. Too stubborn to play the best player and bench him because of principles. Too stubborn to retire because he thinks he’s the best.
So yeah Andre, I do think you should leave for a few reasons: Firstly, Sloan will never leave. He’s going to die coaching…he’ll probably kill over during the 3rd quarter of a Jazz vs. T-Wolves game due to a over stiff-neck or something.
The second reason why I think you should leave, Mr. Andre Kirilenko, you are underplaying in the NBA for what they are paying you. Go to Europe and play and have fun making 8% of what you do now. You do deserve that much.
The last reason for you to leave is because I’m calling your bluff. I don’t tink you want to leave because of Sloan. I think you finally realized that this past season that you aren’t the “man” in Utah any more. And, with Boozer and D-Will stepping up and playing great down the stretch…you are jealous. You want the limelight and to be the leader on the team. Your teammates aren’t relying on you like they once did and yo’ve lost their trust…especially with the meltdown in Houston.
Last of all I’d like to make this prediction for the upcoming 2007-2008 NBA season for the Utah Jazz: I think the Jazz will win 52 games this year and going into the play-offs will have a positive attitude and outlook. However, I predict they’ll lose in the first round and there will be another big contract player on the team asking to be traded. The Jazz will pick up a few more scrub-free agents.
Utah Jazz scrub-ball…you gotta love it baby.

Here’s a little script I came up with that searches an array for a value and results the item and its number if it is found. Use it if you want:
myArray = new Array("bob", "jimmy", "sue");
searchValue = "jimmy";
searchForJimmy = function (searchValue) {
trace("searching for: "+searchValue+" array length: "+myArray.length);
for (i=0; i
trace("found "+searchValue+" at array # "+i);
}
}
};
searchForJimmy(searchValue);
Here you can use symbols in the array values to search for a movie clip and set attributes:
myArray = new Array(mc1._name, mc2._name, mc3._name);
searchValue = mc2;
searchForJimmy = function (searchValue) {
trace("searching for: "+searchValue._name+" array length: "+myArray.length);
for (i=0; i
trace("found "+searchValue+" at array # "+i);
searchValue._visible = false;
}
}
};
searchForJimmy(searchValue);
